The mission of the NYC Fire Museum is to preserve, educate, and celebrate the living history and modern-day heroism of FDNY firefighters and emergency medical service members who have been keeping our businesses and communities safe and secure for over 150 years. This was true in 1865 when the FDNY, as we know it today, was formed. It was true in 1920s as the city grew exponentially. It was true on September 11, 2001, and it is true today as we have tackled COVID-19 and prepare for future challenges. If you believe in our mission to preserve the history of the FDNY, to educate families on fire safety, and to celebrate the service of FDNY members to the communities of New York, please consider making a tax deductible donation to support the Museum.
The Museum continues to be adversely impacted by the pandemic and needs your support now more than ever to help us continue our important mission. The Museum is a registered 501(c)3 nonprofit organization governed by a volunteer Board of Trustees, and is self-funded through its own admissions, tours, special events, and fundraising efforts. All donations are tax deductible to the extent allowable by law.
