THE NEW YORK CITY FIRE MUSEUM IS LOCATED AT: 278 SPRING STREET (Between Hudson and Varick) NEW YORK NY 10013 IN THE HUDSON SQUARE DISTRICT WEST OF SOHO. Hours of Operation
The Museum is open Monday through Saturday from 10:00AM to 5:00PM and
on Sunday from 10:00AM to 4:00PM.
We are closed major holidays
(New Year’s Day, Easter Sunday, July 4th, Thanksgiving and Christmas
Day). Admission
Adults: $8.00
Seniors, Students and Children 12 and under: $5.00
Children under 2: Free
New York City Fire Museum Members and active FDNY/NYPD/PANYNJ (Port Authority of NY & NJ) members are free with ID: Free
As a courtesy, retired and active NYPD members who are members of the Police Museum are free with NYPD ID. Group Rate:

Via Public Transportation
To reach the Museum by subway, take the “C” or “E” train (8th Avenue
Local) to Spring Street. Walk west 1 ½ blocks. Alternatively, take the
“1” train to Houston
Street. Walk south along Varick Street for 4 blocks (To Spring St.) Walk
west ½ block. To reach the Museum via bus, take the M10 or M21
to Spring Street.

From North: Take Varick Street (7th Avenue) south to
Houston; make a right on Houston, left on Washington, left on Spring.
From West Street: Traveling south, make a left on Clarkson,
right on Washington, left on Spring. Traveling north, make a right on
Spring (street after Canal)
From Brooklyn Bridge, cross Chambers to West Street
(see above).
From uptown, take Houston across to Washington, left
on Washington, left on Spring.
A pay parking lot (Edison Parking) is located next door to the Museum.
